Help Promote Readiness during National Preparedness Month
Tuesday July 20th, 2010September is National Preparedness Month (NPM) and Fire Corps programs nationwide can help promote emergency preparedness in their communities. Sponsored by the Ready Campaign in partnership with Citizen Corps and the Ad Council, and supported by organizations including Fire Corps, NPM is held each September to raise awareness and promote action surrounding emergency preparedness among citizens, businesses, and communities. The theme for National Preparedness Month 2010 is, “Plan Now. Work Together. Be Ready.” NPM focuses on helping Americans understand the importance of being ready for any emergency.
To assist your program, Fire Corps developed an online National Preparedness Month Resource Center providing tools, resources, and materials that Fire Corps teams can utilize to help ready themselves and their community for emergency situations.
