Central Yavapai Fire Department to Hold Open House

The community is invited to join Central Yavapai Firefighters for an Open House from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 19 at the Central Yavapai Regional Training Academy at 9601 E. Valley Road in Prescott Valley.

CYFD is celebrating the completion of phase two of the training academy and inviting the community and Arizona fire service agencies to join them, said Charlie Cook, spokesman for the Central Yavapai Fire District.

There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony, tours of the grounds and facilities, informational tables about our volunteer Fire Corps Program, hands-only CPR, AED and defibrillator display, safety information from the Community Risk Management Division and the opportunity to meet the new CYFD Fire Chief Paul Nies as well as the opportunity to congratulate retiring CYFD Fire Chief Mike Parrish, Cook said.
