From: The Express-Star

The Multi-County Fire Corps, Inc. Headquarters Division, under the direction of State Executive Director, Larry Wooten, will be holding a re-organization meeting September 13th, 2012 at 7pm in the gym of the Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, Okla. All citizens of Grady county are invited to attend this meeting and all Fire departments are encouraged to send a representative.

This is what we do as advocates of the Multi-County Fire Corps, Inc.

The mission of Multi-County Fire Corps, Inc. is to provide canteen services, rehab services, chaplain services, administration services, grant writing, school education on fire safety, community education on fire safety, disaster services to emergency workers and communities, organize fundraising initiatives, assist with public relations, provide smoke alarms to eldery and low income families, assist community programs, such as food drives, and toy collections for families in need.

As advocates of Multi-County Fire Corps, Inc. we aid departments in non-operational activities, to allow first responders to focus on their efforts on being prepared for and responding to the most critical, life threatening situations. Multi-County Fire Corps Inc. is chartered by the State of Oklahoma as a non-profit organization and is a part of Homeland Security... we assist fire departments and emergency service departments in the counties of Blaine, Custer, Caddo, Canadian, Grady and Kingfisher...but will respond to calls from any other county in the state of Oklahoma. We have responded to calls from the counties of Cleveland and McClain and have assisted many fire departments with food and water so in 2011and 2012, due to the wildfires.
