Start Planning for Fire Prevention Week

Thursday, 16 August 2012

Fire Prevention Week is less two months away. Make sure your Fire Corps team takes advantage of this opportunity to spread important fire prevention and safety messages and information in your community.

The theme for this year’s event, held from October 7-13, is: “Have 2 Ways Out.” This theme focuses on the importance of planning multiple escape routes in case of an emergency or fire.

While having a plan in place is a vital component of fire safety, it is important to remember that prevention is the most effective way to ensure you and your community’s families are protected from fire. You can use the tips and resources from the Fire Corps web site to distribute in your community as part of your Fire Prevention Week campaign.
