Organize a Readiness Exercise in Your Community

Wednesday, 27 March 2013

The HandsOn Network and Points of Light have developed an easy way to engage community and volunteer leaders in disaster preparedness through a nationwide virtual exercise series. The Resilient Response Exercise series provides an opportunity for neighborhood and community leaders to bring residents together and work through preparedness actions and response activities associated with various natural disasters.

This exercise series offers the following opportunities to engage in 2013:
• Flood Exercise: Thursday, March 21, 2013
• Hurricane Exercise: Thursday, May 23, 2013
• Volunteer Management in Times of Disaster Exercise: Thursday, August 22, 2013
• Pandemic Exercise: Thursday, September 12, 2013

Organize your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to lead a simulated virtual exercise to help increase your communities’ preparedness for the next natural disaster. Exercises are free and open to the public. Register today.
