Congressman Boozman (R-AR) Attended Fire Corps Seminar

Wednesday, 15 March 2006

Congressman Boozman attended a Fire Corps seminar entitled "Engaging Community Support Through Fire Corps" on April 5th in Washington, DC. This workshop took place at the Hilton Washington as part of an annual educational series hosted by the Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI). This two-day event attracted thousands of key fire and emergency service personnel from across the country who used this time to connect with their Congressional leaders regarding issues facing the fire and emergency services. The Fire Corps workshop provided an overview of the Fire Corps program, how it fits into the national Citizen Corps umbrella, and also included a presentation by Fire Corps members Dayna Hilton and Lori Moon from Johnson County, Arkansas. Hilton and Moon later met with Boozman at his Congressional offices to further discuss Fire Corps. For more information on CFSI events, please visit For information about Fire Corps, visit
