Thursday, 27 September 2007

Fire Corps reached out to first responders at Fire-Rescue International (FRI) in Atlanta, GA on August 23-25. In addition to distributing materials and information at an exhibit booth, Fire Corps hosted an educational session called "Fire Corps: the Next Level." Through this session, attendees learned how to expand their departments’ capacity by creating a Fire Corps program as well as how they can use Fire Corps to enhance fire prevention and life safety education. Session speakers included Larry Curl from the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) and Fire Corps’ State Advocate Coordinator Dayna Hilton, along with her Dalmatian, Sparkles. An estimated 17,000 fire and emergency service professionals attended FRI this year.
