Sign up to Participate in National Campus Fire Safety Initiative

Wednesday December 16th, 2009

If your Fire Corps program includes college students, encourage them to be part of a team that creates campus fire safety educational materials for thousands of students nationwide. The igot2kno Student Design Team works with Campus Firewatch and the People's Burn Foundation to provide feedback and ideas for the next generation of campus fire safety resources. The project will be done electronically throughout the 2010 spring semester. Sign up now on the igot2know Student Design Team’s page on Facebook.

Campus Firewatch is an online resource with the mission to protect students while they are at school. The site provides fire service leaders, students, and parents with resources on fire safety and prevention for college students. Formed in May 2000, Campus Firewatch's work has led to Congress passing the provisions of the Campus Fire Safety Right-to-Know Act, the launch of National Campus Fire Safety Month, states all across the country issuing proclamations for Campus Fire Safety Month, and a launch in the United Kingdom, among other successes.
