Fireman’s Fund® Reaches Grant Program Milestone

Tuesday, 20 July 2010

The Fireman’s Fund® Insurance Company recently reached a major milestone. Since its beginning in 2004, the program has officially awarded more than $25 million in grants to support firefighters for safer communities through their Heritage ProgramSM. More than 1,500 fire departments across the U.S. now have received life saving equipment, firefighter training and funds for community education programs through the grant program.

To keep up to date on the grant program, visit the Fireman’s Fund® Facebook page at facebook.com/SupportingFirefighters and follow them on Twitter at twitter.com/FFundHeritage. These sites are excellent resources for updated grant information, and are also a platform for fire service organizations to share their needs with the public - whether it's for grant dollars, volunteers, or to invite the public to their upcoming open house event.
