Johnson County RFD #1 in Clarksville, Arkansas is nestled at the foot of the Ozark Mountains. The district is a rural area that covers 45 square miles and is served by volunteer firefighters.

The Fire Prevention Division is a progressive active part of the department. In 2004, the Fire Safety Team gave over 27 direct programs and participated in 13 additional fire safety related programming reaching over 10,500 people!

Fire Safety Team members donated almost 1600 hours toward fire safety activities in 2004 and received over 204 hours of fire prevention training.

With such a busy schedule, Johnson County RFD #1 is looking for citizens to become members of there team. From helping with fire safety programming, helping with the fire safety house, doing puppet shows, helping at safety fairs, running Freddie and Pluggie (our robots) to stuffing goody bags for children, these are just a few of the activities that help is needed with.
