Learn More About Fire Corps at Fire-Rescue International
Saturday August 09th, 2008Fire Corps will host an educational session at Fire-Rescue International (FRI) in Denver, CO, on August 16. The session, called “Fire Corps – Maximizing Department Resources," will focus on steps to building a viable program, engaging community support, and maintaining a Fire Corps team to expand department services. Attendees will walk away with information about the value this program can bring to the department along with a blueprint for successful program implementation and a foundation for future growth.

In addition to the educational session, stop by the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) booth (#369) on August 15-16 to receive free Fire Corps resources and to network with Fire Corps staff and State Advocates. The booth also provides information about the NVFC National Junior Firefighter Program and offers free health screenings from the NVFC’s Heart-Healthy Firefighter Program, the nation’s only heart attack awareness and prevention campaign targeted at all firefighters and emergency medical personnel.
