Thursday September 17th, 2009September is National Preparedness Month, a great opportunity to distribute preparedness plans and safety messages to your community as well as focus attention on preparedness planning within your department and Fire Corps team. Each week this month, Fire Corps is sending out information on how to help your community prepare for different types of emergency situations and large-scale disasters. You can find additional resources in the Fire Corps National Preparedness Month Resource Center. The Ready Campaign also offers tools and resources for getting your community prepared for disaster, including ready-to-use television, radio, print, outdoor, and web public service announcements. Disaster can strike at any time – make sure your community, your fire department, and your Fire Corps team are ready.
