Sponsored by the HandsOn Network and the Points of Light Institute, National Volunteer Week, Celebrating People in Action, is a time to celebrate service and honor those who dedicate time to strengthening their community.

 

Since 1974, National Volunteer Week has recognized volunteers across the nation. Every year since, each U.S. President, along with many governors, mayors, and other elected officials, has signed a proclamation promoting National Volunteer Week.
