Sponsorships

Fire Corps is a locally-driven Citizen Corps program that allows community members to offer their time and talent to their local fire/EMS department. Through Fire Corps, citizens can serve in non-emergency roles that greatly increase the capacity of their local fire/EMS department. Program components available for sponsorship include:

National Fire Corps Public Service Campaign

This campaign aims to raise awareness about the challenges facing volunteer, career, and combination fire/EMS departments and the opportunities available for non-emergency volunteers. The NVFC seeks sponsors to help disseminate materials and partners for print, TV, radio, and outdoor advertising to spread the word about Fire Corps and publicize 1-800-FIRELINE, a national toll-free hotline to help recruit volunteers for both emergency and non-emergency roles at local fire/EMSdepartments. Fire Corps tools and resources include:

• Fire Corps Toolkit for Citizen Corps Councils, which includes brochures, promotional videos and PSAs, and other resources aimed at helping Citizen Corps Councils reach out to local fire and emergency service departments as well as to citizen volunteers.
• Fire Corps Department Starter Kit, which provides all the tools and resources volunteer fire/EMS departments need to implement and market a local Fire Corps program.
• Fire Corps Resource Guide, a printed booklet with information on starting and administering a successful local Fire Corps program.
• The Fire Corps Award of Excellence, awarded annually to honor a successful local Fire Corps program.
• 1-800-FIRE-LINE, a national toll-free recruitment hotline for those interested in both emergency and non-emergency fire/EMS volunteer opportunities.
