State Contract for Grant Funding

The NVFC provides newly registering states with a $300 grant to help offset the costs associated with establishing and operating 1-800-FIRE-LINE. To apply for this funding, complete the State Contract for Grant Funding and return it to Fire Corps. Conditions for receiving this grant are outlined in the contract. Upon approval, the host organization designated to administer 1-800-FIRE-LINE will be issued a check in the amount of $300 to be used solely for 1-800-FIRE-LINE expenses. 1-800-FIRE-LINE was designed as a low-cost retention and recruitment tool. The average cost of maintaining the toll-free number is $25 a month for each state.
